The awards were facilitated by the American Automobile Association, which checked restaurants and 2,400 hotels last year to know their level of excellence.

Chumash Casino Hotels Are The Winners Of AAA Four Diamond Awards

The Solvang’s Hotel Corque and Chumash Casino Resort Hotel received the AAA Four Diamond Award. The American Automobile Association gave this award yearly. It is given to appreciate and acknowledge the Caribbean’s and North America’s finest hotels.

The Chumash Resort and Casino has received the award for the last 14 years in a row. In addition, hotel Corque has facilitated the award for the last seven years.

Usually, this award is given to a leading group of hotels. Only 6.1 percent of hotels that have inspected AAA would be eligible for the awards.

For the qualification, the hotels need to have the best-in-class hospitality and services. They must serve stylish and upscale services and must give full attention to the minute details.

Chumash Casino Resort Hotel has 320 guest rooms. Out of which, there are 58 suites with a pool deck on the rooftop and spa services.

Hotel Corque offers 122 guest rooms. It has 17 suites. There is also space for meetings or events that can take place indoors or out.

AAA operates with professional inspectors to access their properties. The criteria are based on the requirements of the travelers.

Both Hotel Corque and the Chumash Casino Resort are operated and owned by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. Additionally, the tribe has owned two service stations, Root 246 and the Hadsten House.

More than 2,000 Santa Barbara County inhabitants worked for the tribe on their properties which turned them into leading employers.

Chumash Gets State Approval Of Off-Track Betting

The Santa Ynez and California Band of Chumash Indians have changed the present gaming with the last endorsement. It has permitted the tribe to facilitate off-track wagering at their Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez.

At present, there are no substantial designs for the addition to the games of the Casino. The tribe needed to curtail the access as they wanted to give the users full choice of action. At present, the other tribal casinos are facilitating the game.

The authenticity of the gaming has curtailed between the state and the tribe, which was affected in 2015. The necessary change would permit satellite betting to work better within the tribal casinos. On the off track, the palace would permit the visitors to participate in the horse races.

Gov. Jerry Brown signed the amendments on August 02. It was cast on a ballot supported by the state Senate on August 28 and was sanctioned by the Assembly.

Reopening Of Chumash Casino Resort

On March 15, Chumash casino was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will resume around the early afternoon from Jun, 10.

The authorities have prioritized new cleaning and safety measures as they will restrict the accessible facilities. All visitors must go through preventive measures like covering their face with a mask and temperature check before entering.

Though poker rooms and bingo are not included in the reopening of the Chumash Casino Resort, these will open again later.

Unfortunately, the restaurants will remain closed, too—the rest of the properties of Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians will also remain closed.
